My boyfriend's best friend is getting married next month and I need some help with what to wear. It's a night wedding and I want to wear black. I want to look classy without being boring so I need some advice.

I found this dress at Torrid (not a store I usually shop at so it's a rare find). I really kind of like it but I'm not sure if it's worth the money or if it's even cute.

That's it. Help me out! I have a similar body to the girl in that picture but I am shorter than she is. If you do like it, tell me what I can do to spiff it up a bit (jewelry, shoes, etc). Thanks!!

i think it's pretty, maybe not worth $70 though?

it is kind of simple, so to spice it up imo, i would go for a bright shoe that pops and then silver accessories. or you could do accessories the same colour as your shoe, but then imo you wouldn't get the same popping effect and it could make it look less classic.

The dress is pretty, but I'm also unsure of whether or not it's worth $70. Now, if you look great in it and it makes you feel great, then yes. But if it were me, I wouldn't buy it for $70 (it wouldn't look good, I think).

I would be wary of anything that "pops" too much, however, in the case of a wedding. Weddings tend to be a bit more classic and elegant in my opinion. A bright red shoe and accessories would look young, fresh, and trendy, but something like silver would be more elegant and classic. Since it's not your wedding, and you're not part of the wedding, you could probably get away with either though. If you were part of the wedding though, you don't want too trendy because looking back at the pictures would be like, "ewww, I can't believe that was ever in style," and you want something more timeless. Ultimately, it's up to you though.
